Use

Depending on the connection type, you can make various basic settings on this tab page for the target system and the gateway or HTTP proxy.

Procedure

Make the following settings:

 

Connection types: ABAP, R/2, Internal, Logical, CMC, TCP/IP, ABAP Driver (3, 2, I, L, M, T, X)

      Load Balancing (Type 3 only)

If you choose load balancing, you must specify the following information:

       Target system (For a list of available servers, log on to the target system and choose Administration System Administration Monitor System Monitoring Server –Transaction SM51)

       Message server (log on to the target system and choose Control/Monitoring Control Panel (transaction RZ03) from the CCMS main menu. The message server is the server that offers service M.

       Group (SAP Logon Group of Servers)

If you choose load balancing, you must specify the following information (only type 3, I and L):

       Target host:

The name of a server host of the target system that you want to use as a port to the system.

       System number

Communications service used with the target system. To obtain it, choose Administration System Administration Monitor System Monitor Server (transaction SM51).

Note

For connection type L, do not enter the target host and system number. Instead, enter the alias for the corresponding destination 

For connection type X, enter the ABAP driver program instead of the target host.

      Gateway options

       Gateway host

Specify the gateway host that you want to use to establish the connection.

       Gateway service

Enter the relevant gateway service.

 

Connection types HTTP/External and HTTP/ABAP (G, H)

      Target host:

The name of a server host of the target system that you want to use as a port to the system.

      Service number

Specifies the communication service used in the target system. To obtain it, choose Administration System Administration Monitor System Monitoring Server.

      Path prefix

You can use this path to select and call the HTTP Request Handler.

Note

The path specification corresponds to the corresponding service path in transaction SICF.

      HTTP Proxy Options

Here you can define various data for the proxy host:

       Name

       Service

       User

       Password

       Note

       You can perform the general HTTP proxy configuration in main screen for the transaction by choosing Extras HTTP Proxy Configuration.
