Use

The help for a Web application should not use a standardized F1 help (popup window with a short text and documentation) for all the visualized fields of the application, as is common in R/3. Instead, the individual pages of the application should be designed to be intuitive and easy to understand.

Depending on the application, however, it might be necessary to include some explanations. In this case there should be a precise, application-specific help available. This can be done in two steps.

A help can be visualized as a tooltip in the form of a quickinfo for the fields that are not yet sufficiently described by the field label.
Use a meaningful application-specific text as quickinfo. If an ABAP data object with a Dictionary reference is to be visualized, you can define a type-specific quickinfo for this data object using method GET_QUICKINFO. This text can be used as the standard quickinfo for fields with the same underlying semantic.

If you need more detailed information, this information should describe the entire page or how to use the page. For example, you can write an application-specific help text to guide the user through the entire page using a wizard.
