Building a Hierarchy Group 

This procedure provides information on how to assign the following to a hierarchy group or a node within the hierarchy group:

·        Devices

·        Device Profiles

·        DM Software Component Versions

·        Mobile Components

Prerequisites

·        You have created a hierarchy group.

·        You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Hierarchy Groups, choose Freestyle Hierarchy Groups.

       3.      Select the required hierarchy group or node.

Assigning Devices to a Hierarchy Group or Node

...

       1.      Expand the required hierarchy group or node.

       2.      Choose DEVICES.

       3.      Choose Add/Remove.

       4.      Enter the required search criteria and choose Go.

       5.      From the Search Results, choose Assign Device.

To remove a device, from Assigned Devices, select the required devices and choose Unassign Device.

       6.      Choose Save.

Assigning Device Profiles to a Hierarchy Group or Node

...

       1.      Expand the required hierarchy group or node.

       2.      Choose DEVICE_PROFILE.

       3.      Choose Add/Remove.

       4.      Enter the required search criteria and choose Search.

       5.      From Available Device Profiles, choose Assign Device Profile.

To remove a device profile, from Assigned Device Profiles, select the required device profiles and choose Unassign Device Profile.

       6.      Choose Save.

Assigning DMSWCVs to a Hierarchy Group or Node

...

       1.      Expand the required hierarchy group or node.

       2.      Choose DMSWCV.

       3.      Choose Add/Remove.

       4.      Enter the required search criteria and choose Search.

       5.      From Available DMSWCVs List, choose Assign DMSWCV.

To remove DMSWCVs, from Assigned DMSWCVs List, select the required DMSWCVs and choose Unassign DMSWCV.

       6.      Choose Save.

Assigning MCDs to a Hierarchy Group or Node

...

       1.      Expand the required hierarchy group or node.

       2.      Choose MCD.

       3.      Choose Add/Remove.

       4.      Enter the required search criteria and choose Search.

       5.      From Available MCD List, choose Assign MCD.

To remove MCDs, from Assigned MCD List, select the required MCDs and choose Unassign MCD.

       6.      Choose Save.
