The Business Address Services provide various screen layouts that display the address elements and their sequence according to the country setting. In each layout, the address fields are arranged differently to make the user's work easier since he or she can enter an address in a familiar environment.
The keys of the screen variants are similar to the formatting keys for print formatting.
The setting for the screen layout applies wherever a screen element of the BAS is used for address maintenance.
How the address data is saved in the database tables does not depend on the screen layout.
The following layout variants are provided:
· 001 Europe/Default
· 004 USA
· 005 Canada
· 013 Japan
Street |
House number |
Postal code |
City |

In addition, the fields Time Zone and Tax Jurisdiction Code are always displayed on the first screen (and when entering an address).
The difference between variant 005 and variant 004 is that variant 005 uses the field label City/Region/Post Code whereas variant 004 uses City/State/ZipCode (logon language English). The screen layout is otherwise the same.
Variant 013 displays a completely different screen layout than the other variants. For more information, see Screen Template and Print Formatting for Japan.
If your system runs on SAP R/3 Release 4.6 or higher, you can choose between screen variants 001 and 004. Variants 005 and 013 are available as of SAP Web Application Server 6.40, and variant 013 is available as of SAP Web Application Server 6.20 SP 28.
We do not intend to deliver a separate screen variant for every country. Instead, we plan to offer multiple basic templates that can be used for countries that have a similar address format.
