Use

You can use the Classification Help function to check your user classification (available as of SAP NetWeaver 7.0). However, the respective application still needs to provide the corresponding user data, which this function evaluates and formats.

On the basis of this user data, the Classification Help function provides lists of users that access functions and objects that they may not be permitted to use in accordance with their classification. You can use the list to check the classification of the listed users. As soon as you are satisfied with the classification of the users, you can perform the measurement again, and then transfer the measurement results as usual. The user lists are anonymized when this is done; that is, the data is transferred to SAP without the user names.

Classification Help provides you with the following options for checking your user classification:

Classification Help Functions

Function

Notes

Workbench user

Displays a list of the users that accessed the source code in the last twelve months.

Object Creators

Displays a list of the users that create the most objects, such as orders.

Mobile Engine Users

Displays a list of the users that use Mobile Engines.

Self-Service Users

Displays a list of the users that most frequently execute activities that are not part of the self-service area, such as maintaining master records.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the measurement program (transaction USMM), choose User Data Analyses.

On the Existing Measurement Data dialog box, the system displays a table of the previous measurements performed, with number, date, and time of the relevant measurement. The most up-to-date measurement is at the top of the table.

       2.      To remove superfluous data from the classification help, choose Delete.

Caution

Ensure that you do not accidentally delete the logs of the measurement that you have transferred to SAP. If you did so, you would not have any reference material if there are queries.

       3.      Select the measurement to be checked, and choose the desired list option on the Classification Help tab page, such as User Workbench.

Result

...

The result list for User Workbench displays all users, and for the other functions the five users that most frequently work with functions or objects to which they may not be permitted access in accordance with their classification. The user names are specified for internal use in your organization, so that you can investigate these anomalies and, if necessary, reclassify the relevant users.

The lists are included both in the measurement statistics and in the measurement log.
