Procedure documentation Archiving Alerts  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) receives various alerts triggered by the client devices, back-end systems, or other systems that are connected to it. You must archive these alerts at regular intervals to ensure that the size of the alert store does not increase significantly. You can archive alerts to a:

·        Backup table in the DOE

·        File in the DOE

Note

For both the above-mentioned options, you can archive the alerts manually or by scheduling a background job.

·        File on your local machine

Procedure

       1.      Log on the SAP NetWeaver ASand start transaction SDOE_ARCHIVE_ALERTS.

       2.      Under Alert Selection, enter the required search criteria.

       3.      Under Actions, select Save As.

       4.      Select the required location. You can archive the alerts to the following locations:

Location

Description

Application Server

Archives the alerts to a file in the DOE

Front End

Archives the alerts to a file on your local machine

Backup Table

Archives the alerts to a table in the DOE

       5.      Under Location, enter the name of the file along with the path.

Note

This is required only if you choose Application Server or Front End in the previous step.

       6.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Execute.

The alerts that match the search criteria appear.

       7.      Choose Save.

The selected alerts are archived.
