Background documentation Status Monitor for the Mobile Client  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The status monitor indicates the status of the mobile client in your system. It is installed along with the mobile client for laptops and is located in the system tray as an icon. To view the status of the client, move the mouse pointer over the This graphic is explained in the accompanying textmonitor icon.

The monitor provides the following information:

·        Current status of the client (whether or not the client is running)

·        Type of synchronization running on the client (background or manual)

·        Most recent error that occurred on the client during synchronization

The following table lists the functions of the monitor:

Start the monitor manually

Click the This graphic is explained in the accompanying textmonitor icon with the secondary mouse button, and choose Start.

Alternatively, you can navigate to the folder in which the client is installed: …\Program Files\SAP\SAP NetWeaver Mobile Client and choose startmonitor.bat

Stop the monitor manually

Click the This graphic is explained in the accompanying textmonitor icon with the secondary mouse button, and choose Stop.

Alternatively, you can navigate to the folder in which the client is installed: …\Program Files\SAP\SAP NetWeaver Mobile Client and choose stopmonitor.bat

View the status of the mobile client

Move the mouse pointer over the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text monitor icon.

Find out when background synchronization is running

The monitor icon changes to the This graphic is explained in the accompanying textbackground synchronization icon.

Find out the version of the mobile client

Click the This graphic is explained in the accompanying textmonitor icon with the secondary mouse button and choose About.
