Assigning Agents to a
Device
After you have created an agent, you need to assign agents to a device based on your requirement. You can assign multiple agents to a device directly. However, to assign multiple agents to multiple devices, you must create a configuration template and assign it to a device profile. When this device profile is assigned to multiple devices, the configuration template along with all the agents is also assigned to the respective devices.
· You have created a device.
· You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

12. Based on your requirements, specify values for the following fields as explained in the table below:
Field |
Description |
Process automatically |
By default, this option is selected. This ensures that when the agent is transferred to the device, it is automatically executed on the device. However, if you want to provide a timeline to the device user to execute the agent, then you can select this option and enter a date in the Last Date for Process Automatically field. |
Last Date for Process Automatically |
Specify a date in this field only if you select the Process Automatically option. If the device user does not execute the agent by the date you specify, then it is executed automatically on the device. |
Expiry date |
Use this option only if you do not want the agent to be executed automatically. Therefore, specify an expiry date only if you do not select the Process Automatically option. If you specify an expiry date, the device user can choose to execute or discard the agent. If the user does not execute the agent by the date you specify in this field, it is discarded automatically. In this case, a notification is sent to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) through the FEEDBACK data object. |
