Assigning Mobile Components to a Device 

Use

You can assign additional mobile components to the device based on your requirement. For example, to enable application users to print data from their respective mobile applications, you must assign the required printer driver.

Prerequisites

·        You have uploaded the required mobile components to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE).

·        You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Device Management, choose Device Administration.

       3.      Under Search Devices, enter the required search criteria and choose Go.

       4.      From the search results, select the required device.

       5.      In the Operations screen area, choose Manage Mobile Component.

       6.      Under Search Mobile Components, enter the required search criteria and choose Go.

       7.      From the search results, select the required mobile components and choose  Assign.

■       To assign all the mobile components, choose  Assign All.

■       To remove existing mobile components, under Assigned Mobile Components, select the required mobile components and choose  Un-Assign. To remove all the mobile components, choose  Un-Assign All.

       8.      Choose Save.

If the distribution model (DM) software component version(s) is assigned to the mobile component already, then you are prompted to assign it to the device.

       9.      In the Non-conflicting DMSWCVs screen area, select the assign option alongside the required DM software component version.

   10.      Choose Save.
