The Web interface technology Web Dynpro is client-independent – that is, different clients can be implemented for displaying Web Dynpro applications.

Interaction between Web Dynpro and SAP NetWeaver Portal

When the application is executed on the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you can use its functions. The SAP NetWeaver Portal offers a role-based and safe access to information and enables you to use the event handling, navigation functions, as well as personalization.

Executing in a Browser

Executing on a Mobile Device

You can execute a Web Dynpro application on a mobile device. Supported devices are pocket PCs such as BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds.

Executing on the Web Dynpro Client for Windows

As another option, you can execute a Web Dynpro application from a local Windows client. The Web Dynpro client for Windows is an SAPfront end for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It can be used in a Web browser or from within the SAP GUI for Windows.
