Creating a Software Package 

Use

A software package is an installable unit using which you can group all mobile components related to an application or a set of applications. For example, you have an order application that must be deployed to various devices. You can create a software package that contains all the mobile components relevant for this application. You can then deploy this software package to the required devices.

Prerequisites

·        You have uploaded the required mobile components to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE).

·        You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Software Package Management, choose Software Package Administration.

       3.      In the Search Results section of the screen, choose Create.

       4.      In the Software Package Name field, enter a name for the software package.

       5.      In the Description field, enter a description for the software package.

       6.      Choose Create.

You can now assign the required mobile components to the software package.
