Defining a Link to a Web Dynpro Application 

To launch and display a Web Dynpro application from the Web Dynpro Client for Windows, you must define a link to this Web Dynpro application. As with the Web browser, you access the Web Dynpro applications by activating a HTTP request in Web Dynpro Client for Windows.

Prerequisites

The SAP GUI for Windows is installed on your PC.

Procedure

       1.      Start SAP Logon by double-clicking the corresponding icon on the user interface of your desktop.

       2.      Choose the Web Dynpro Applications tab. A list with all defined links to Web Dynpro applications is displayed in the first column of the table on the left part of this tab. The second column contains the URL of the corresponding Web Dynpro application.

       3.      To create a new link to a Web Dynpro application, choose New Item.... The dialog box Create New Web Dynpro Application Entry is displayed.

       4.      To define the link, enter the following data:

                            a.      Description of the Web Dynpro application. The name should be meaningful, since it appears in the list of available Web Dynpro applications for launching the Web Dynpro application.

                            b.      The URL required to launch the Web Dynpro application (more information, URL of the Web Dynpro Application).

       5.      You can choose Change Item… if you want to modify the name or the URL, and Delete Item.. if you want to delete individual items.

Result

You defined a link to a Web Dynpro application. The link name you defined is entered in the first column of the list of all available Web Dynpro applications. If you then want to launch the Web Dynpro application, select this entry and choose Log on or alternatively double-click the entry.
