Device Reassignment: Anonymous Registration Fails 

Problem

The anonymous registration of a device on the target server leads to a failure.

Analysis

This problem can occur if the creation of a device fails due to the failure of the compatibility check.

The compatibility check can fail because of the following reasons:

·        The DM SWVC is not available on the target server.

·        One or more data objects used by the mobile component (application) are not available in the target server. The absence of a mobile component on the target server does not lead to a failure. The reason for this is that the mobile component (application) may not be used by any other device on the target server. Further, the device that is being reassigned may already have the application installed. Therefore, the device may continue to work correctly, even if the mobile component is not available on the target server.
