Procedure documentation Creating Data Objects  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

·        You have created a software component version.

·        You have downloaded the appropriate business objects from the back end.

Procedure

       1.      Create a data object using one of the methods:

¡        Create a new data object.

More information: Creating a New Data Object

¡        Create a data object from an existing data object.

You can create a copy of a data object and modify it according to your requirements. This ensures that you do not have to create a new data object from the beginning.

More information: Creating a Copy of a Data Object

¡        Import BAPI wrappers as data objects.

BAPI wrappers can exist in the back-end systems connected to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE). You can import existing BAPI wrapper definitions from the back-end system to the DOE and create data objects that map these definitions.

More information: Importing BAPI Wrappers as Data Objects

¡        Create a data object by importing a Mobile Infrastructure (MI) SyncBO.

In SAP NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructure, you model the back-end data using SyncBOs. You can reuse the SyncBO definitions to create data objects in the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE).

More information: Creating a Data Object by Importing an MI SyncBO

       2.      Create data object nodes.

More information: Creating a Data Object Node

       3.      Define associations between data objects.
