Running the Mobile Application 

Use

After you have developed, built, and deployed your Mobile Application, you can run it on the Mobile Client for Handhelds.

Prerequisites

You have deployed a Mobile Application.

Procedure

...

       1.      In either of the explorers, select a development component or the Mobile Application.

       2.      From the context menu, choose Run as → Mobile Application.

This automatically generates an Eclipse run configuration that can subsequently be started directly using Run → Run or by choosing the Run icon in the toolbar.

To start another instance of the Mobile Client for Handhelds, open the bin folder of the client’s installation directory and choose startup.lnk (Windows Mobile) or startup.bat (Windows XP).

Result

In a local environment, for testing purposes for example, the Mobile Client for Handhelds appears on your desktop, if you have defined your machine as the deploy location.
