Working with the Design Time Repository (DTR) has the following life cycle:

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

...

       1.      Create and configure a new DTR client. You connect to a specific DTR server that holds the resources you are developing. See Managing DTR Clients.

       2.      You set up the development environment in DTR – you create the required workspaces and workspace folders, and if there is already content in the DTR, you synchronize it with the local system. See Administration of the DTR Content.

       3.      You perform resource development, and wrap the resources in activities that you later on check in to the DTR. See Managing Resources.

       4.      When you work in a team, sometimes you have to resolve DTR conflicts that may appear. See Resolving Conflicts.
