Assigning Rules to a Device 

Use

You must assign distribution rules to a device to ensure that the data related to the applications deployed on the device is transferred to the device. If distribution rules have not been assigned to any device during design time, you can assign rules manually to a device based on your requirements.

Prerequisites

·        The rules must be part of the distribution model (DM) software component versions that are assigned to the device.

·        You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Device Management, choose Device Administration.

       3.      Under Search Devices, enter the required search criteria and choose Go.

       4.      From the search results, choose the required device.

       5.      In the Operations screen area, choose Assign Rules to Device.

       6.      Choose Next.

       7.      Select the required rules and choose Next.

       8.      Choose Start Binding.

The system starts assigning the selected rules to the device.
