Checking the Version of a Mobile Client on the DOE 

Use

You can check the version number and patch number of a mobile client (client device) in the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) based on your requirements. For example, you want to deploy a hot fix on a mobile client. However, before you deploy this hot fix, you want to check whether it is relevant for the version of the client framework that is currently available on the specified client. To do this, you can search for the mobile client (device) in the DOE and check the version of the client framework that is assigned to the device.

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Administration.

       2.      Under Device Management, choose Device Administration.

       3.      Enter the required search criteria and choose Go.

       4.      From the Search Results screen area, choose the required device.

       5.      Choose the Mobile Components tab.

The version number of the client framework is displayed along with the version numbers of all the other mobile components that are deployed on the device. the patch number (if any) is suffixed with the version number of the client framework. for example, if the version of the client framework is 7.1.2, then 7.1 is the version number of the client framework and 2 indicates the patch number.
