The latest release of SAP Gateway for Microsoft: Visual Studio Add-In provides access to SAP OData services on SAP NetWeaver Gateway through multiple systems.

The SP04 release of SAP Gateway for Microsoft: Visual Studio Add-In features multi-system access to SAP OData services. Using the GWM Visual Studio Add-In templates, you can now create Excel or Outlook applications that have access to a specific SAP OData service on Gateway, through other systems.

Each OData service is defined by a specific service URL which varies with the system type. Systems that are currently supported by GWM Visual Studio Add-In for OData service connectivity are:
  • SAP NetWeaver Gateway
  • SAP Mobile Platform (SMP)
  • Microsoft's Azure cloud services
