Adding Columns to the Sales Order Header Grid


In this step we will add columns to the sales order header grid. The column name to be added depends on the property available under the SalesOrderCollection. The image shows the salesordercollection available in the metadatametadata_addcolumn


  1. Select the dgvSalesOrderHeader datagrid from the Properties view drop-down and, then click on the button in the row “Columns” to add columns to the grid as shown in the screenshot. dgv_columnadd
    The Edit Columns window appears.
  2. Click Add to add a new column.
    The Add Column window appears.
  3. Do the following in the Add Column window:
    1. Enter EPM_SalesOrder_CustomerID in the Name field.
    2. Select DataGridViewTextBoxColumnin the Type field drop-down list.
    3. Enter Customer ID in the Header Text field. Add Columns
    4. Click Add.
  4. Repeat the steps to add more columns for the following properties from the selected service:
    • SalesOrderID
    • CustomerID
    • CustomerName
    • NetSum
    • Tax
    • TotalSum
    • CurrencyCodeDescription
    • StatusDescription
    • SalesOrderKey
    • Note
    For SalesOrder, The Name field should be EPM_SalesOrder_SalesOrderID, and the Header Text field should be SalesOrder ID.
    Note The column name provided in the example is derived from the GWDemo servic, you can provide any name depending on the selected service used to develop GWM project.
  5. Click on Closeonce the procedure of adding the columns in completed.
  6. Press the OK button to generate the grid. Generated_Columns
