Description

Common Information/Failed to Start Applications

This monitor shows the number of applications that failed to start.

 

Description of possible problems and recommendation on how to proceed when they occur:

To view these failed to start applications and solve the problems, in the SAPNetWeaver Administrator, choose Operation Management → Systems →  Start & Stop.

  1. The Start & Stop screen appears.
  2. Then, on the left side, choose Java EE Services.
  3. In the status column write “failed” to identify  the failed to start application. Choose Start to run the application.

Another option to view the failed to start applications in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator is to choose Problem Management → Logs and Traces →  Log Viewer.

  1. From the dropdown menu Show View, choose General → Default Trace (Java) → Show advanced filter.
  2. From the dropdown menu Select Filter within the Filter by Content screen area, choose Application.
  3. Enter the name of failed to start application to identify the  error logs and to analyze the root cause of the problem.
