Use the Import Service to import exported software components (SCAs) or standalone development configurations into your system. The Import Service guides you step-by-step through the import process. Choose Next to proceed to the next step. Using pushbutton Back you can return to the previous step.

Prerequisites

You have called the Import Service. For this you have selected   Related Links   Import Management   in the Configuration Service.

Procedure

  1. In the Import Target step, select a development configuration (that you want to execute the import to) from the selection list.

    Note Note

You can only select standalone development configurations from the selection list. You cannot execute imports in development configurations that were created with the TMS.

    End of the note.

Expand the tray to show more detailed information on the selected development configuration. Information on the build tool, repository location, runtime system, and definition of the software component is displayed. Check the entries to ensure that you have selected the correct development configuration.

  2. In the Software Components step, all the files stored in the specified directory are displayed in the Inbound Directory field. You have the following options:

    • Using the Validate pushbutton you can check for the selected software components if the SCAs in the inbound directory can be imported. The validation results are displayed.

    • Using the Display Details pushbutton you can displayed more information on the software component, for example, the Support Package level and patch level.

Select the software components (SCAs, EARs, WDAs, PRAs) that are to be imported.

  3. The Import step lists the settings that are affected in an overview. If all settings are correct, start the import. Choose Import.

Check the import log when the import is finished.
