Procedure documentationPredefined Development Views Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

Use these predefined views to view developer logs and traces on your SAP NetWeaver system. These records are commonly addressed to developers and support engineers.

Procedure

  1. Open SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

  2. Go to    Problem Management   Logs and Traces   Log Viewer  

  3. Choose    Show View   Predefined   Development   and then choose from the following views:

    Predefined View

    Description

    Default Trace (Java)

    Shows all trace records written in defaultTrace.trc file on the relevant system.

    Config Change Log

    Shows log records informing of the last system configurations made on the relevant system.

    Filtering by Correlator ID (Java)

    Shows log records that can be filtered and found via a particular ID number.

    The following filter by content is set: Correlator ID contains.

    work/dev*

    Shows all text formatted log records from all trace files located in folder work.

    Note Note

    These are Startup Framework trace files. They give information about behaving of the AS Java at startup.

    work/std_server*.out

    Shows text formatted log records about the STDOUT stream processes in the application server. These trace files are located in folder work.

    Sys Logs (ABAP)

    Shows all log records written in the ABAP Sys Log set of files.

    Note Note

    You can set filters by content only.

  4. From Display Log File, you can find all the files, containing logs for the selected development view.

    Note Note

    This dropdown box is relevant only for text-formatted logs.

  5. Choose Show Advanced Filter to set a filter criterion.

    You can apply various types of filtering log records for these views.
