You can use any predefined view as a template for your custom view. For example, if you want your custom view to show:
particular logs/traces, or certain log/trace type, then use the Expert view as a template.
archives of a particular log or trace, use the Log Archives (Java) view as a template.
logs and traces from an AS Java that is not running, use the Standalone Log Viewer view as a template.
You can also export the settings of a custom view to an XML file to a directory of your choice. You can then send the XML file to another user who can import it and save it as his/her own custom view.
You can choose from the following methods:
I. Create using a predefined view
From Show View dropdown box, choose General or Predefined.
Then choose a predefined view to be a template for your custom one.
To set filter criteria, choose Show Advanced Filter. You can:
filter by data source;
filter by content;
filter by log/trace name and type.

Optional: Customize the columns to be displayed in your custom view.

From Show View, choose Save View As.
II. Create without using a predefined one
Choose
.A merged list (table) of all the logs from your SAP NetWeaver system appears.
To set filter criteria, choose Show Advanced Filter.
Optional: Customize the columns to be displayed in your custom view.
From Show View, choose Save View.
From Show View, select Custom View and then choose the view you want to export.
Go to (Option menu) and then choose Export View.
Choose the Export View link.
Open or save it as an XML file on your file system.
From Show View, select a view (predefined or custom).
Choose (Option menu) and then choose Import View.
Browse to the Log Viewer XML file you want to import.
The imported view is displayed.
Optional: Save the imported view as your own.
