By default, the Tool Area iView in the Classic Framework Page is configured to display and use Knowledge Management search. To enable instead the use of SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search in the Classic Framework Page, you need to configure the Tool Area iView.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, choose   Content Administration   Portal Content Management  .

  2. In the Portal Catalog, navigate to   Portal Content   Portal Users   Standard Portal Users   Classic Framework Page  .

  3. In the context menu of the Classic Framework Page, choose   Open   Page  .

    The Page editor displays the list of the navigation iViews configured for the framework page.

  4. If Knowledge Management (KM) is not installed on your system, in the Tool Area iView row, select the Visible checkbox to display the search field in the portal header area.

    Note Note

    If your portal installation includes KM, the Visible checkbox is selected by default and no additional configuration is needed.

  5. Select the Tool Area iView, and choose Open.

  6. In the Properties editor, choose All to display all of the available properties.

  7. Choose Modify Properties.

  8. From the Show Category dropdown list, choose All Properties.

  9. Locate the Switch to Enterprise Search property, and set the value to true.

  10. Save your changes.
