Enter the host name and AS port of SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search.
Enter the protocol.
Perform a connection test as follows:
Open the NWES system for editing and choose the Connection Tests editor.
In the System Connection Tests table select SAP Web AS Connection and choose Test.
If the test does not complete successfully, look at the test details to determine if the details you entered were incorrect or if there is a problem with the connection itself, and make sure that there are no network problems.
Assign the NWES system alias to the NWES system that you created as follows:
Open the NWES system for editing and choose the System Aliases editor.
Type NWES in the input field and then choose Add.
Set the new alias as the default alias.
