Setting Up a Trust Relationship 
You need to set up a trust relationship between the SAP NetWeaver Portal and the application server ABAP that is used in SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search.
The trust relationship is necessary to enable authentication between the portal and SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search when the category list is retrieved and the search user interface is displayed. Both connections are user and authorization-dependent.
You are assigned to the System Administration portal role
The configuration procedure includes the following tasks:
Certificate Exchange
Domain Relaxing
The SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search system must trust the portal, this means that you need to download the portal’s certificate and upload it to the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search system.
Download the certificate
Log on to the portal.
Access the SAP NetWeaver Administrator tool.
Navigate to .
Select .
Choose Export To File and choose the Base64 format.
Download the certificate file.
Import the certificate to the ABAP system:
On the ABAP system, start transaction STRUSTSSO2.
In the Certificate pane, choose Import Certificate.
Load the certificate file you downloaded from the previous procedure and select Base64 as the file format.
Choose Add to Certificate List and then Add to ACL.
Note
You can skip this step if the portal and SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search are in the same domain.
Perform the following steps to change the domain name relaxing:
Access SAP NetWeaver Administrator tool.
Navigate to .
Choose Show SSO Configuration.
Choose Modify and enter a number higher than 1 in the Domain Name Relax Level.
This value depends on the varying domains that you have.
Save the changes.
