If you want to use the file search with authorization check with SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search, you must maintain the user data centrally using the connected LDAP server on the MS Active Directory Server. You cannot maintain your user data either directly or using a mapping service.

The SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search ABAP system synchronizes its local database with this LDAP server. The only roles mapped within SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search are the search roles (SAP_ESH_RFC_ENDUSER and SAP_ESH_SEARCH) and administrator role (SAP_ESH_ADMIN).
