Intuitive User Interface (Enhanced)

As of this release, SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search provides a simple and intuitive Search UI. Users can use the UI to submit basic and advanced search requests. The system returns the search results in the form of a list, which you can further refine.

Navigating in the Results (Enhanced)

The user can navigate in the results using known and new functions and perform additional functions, such as starting a related search or launching an editing UI.

Special Functions (New)

New special functions are available, such as saving search requests, displaying the history, subscribing to search requests as a news feed, and extended personalization options.

Sorting of Search Object Connectors in the Results List (Removed)

To make asynchronous loading of the results easier, the option for personalizing the sort order of the search object connectors that was available in SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search 7.0 has been removed from SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search 7.2.

Advanced Search User Interface: Attribute Search with > or < (Removed)

In Release 7.0, the user interface for the advanced search supported searching in numerical attributes using the relational operands < or > in only a few cases. For reasons of consistency, this function has been removed from SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search 7.2.

"Did You Mean...?" Function (Removed)

The Did You Mean…? function in Release 7.0 is not available in SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search 7.2.

"Best Bets" Function (Removed)

The Best Bets function in Release 7.0 is not available in SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search 7.2.
