Using SES in the ABAP Development Workbench 

Purpose

This section describes how you can find and use the Search Engine Service (SES) in the ABAP development workbench.

Prerequisites

All required authorizations are grouped together in the role SAP_BC_SES_ADMIN.

Checking permissions

If you are missing some authorization, use transaction SU01 to check whether this role or a copy of it is assigned to your user. By double-clicking the role name, you can display the role and the authorizations it contains. Check whether values are assigned to all authorization fields, if necessary, contact the system administrator. In a test system without specific restrictions, you can enter * in all fields without a value in the simplest case.

Process Flow

To see the Search Engine Services (SES) in the ABAP development workbench, proceed as follows:

       1.      Launch the Object Navigator (transaction SE80).

       2.      Choose Repository Browser ® Package ® SES
