You can use the Search Console view in the NetWeaver Developer Studio to either import or re-import models to develop Web Dynpro applications in a simple manner using the drag and drop features and wizards. You can either import a Remote Function Call (RFC) model or an Adaptive Web Service (AWS) model from this view.

Prerequisites

You have configured either the R/3 or Solution Composer to import a model (RFC or AWS).

Procedure

Import an RFC or AWS Model
  1. To open the Search Console View, choose   Windows   Show View   Others   Search Console.  

  2. Select RFC or Enterprise Service from the Search for dropdown list.

  3. Enter the required RFC or Enterprise Service in the Find field and choose Search.

  4. Drag the RFC or Enterprise Service from the Search Console and drop it on the required modeler.

    Note Note

    You can use the drag and drop feature in the Component Modeler, Data Modeler, and Execution Modeler only.

  5. Follow the steps in the New Model wizard.

You can also drag multiple RFCs also from the Search Console view and drop it on the required modelers.

Re-Import an RFC or AWS Model
  1. Drag the required RFC or Enterprise Service from the Search Console View and drop it on the model that was previously imported in the Component Modeler, Data Modeler, or Execution Modeler.

  2. Follow the steps in the Re-Import Model wizard.

Note Note

You can drag multiple RFCs from the Search Console and drop them on the required modelers.
