End of the note.

This topic describes how to edit the general properties of an FPN connection and the connection settings of the producer and consumer systems in the FPN connection.

Prerequisites

  • You are authorized to access the portal role containing the Federated Portal workset.

  • You have created an FPN connection that pairs your system with a remote system.

  • You have at least administrator read-write permission for the FPN connection. For more information, see Assigning Administrator Permissions to FPN Connections.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to   System Administration   Federated Portal   SAP NetWeaver - FPN Connections   Manage My FPN Connections  .

The My FPN Connections tab appears.

  2. In the My FPN Connections table, select an FPN connection.

  3. Choose Open.

  4. In the open editor of the FPN connection, choose one of the following entries in the link bar:

    • General Properties: Allows you to update properties such as the FPN connection name, ID, description, and the assigned FPN group.

    • My System Settings: Allows you to update the HTTP/HTTPS, RMI-P4, and external network connection properties of your system.

    • Remote System Settings: Allows you to update the HTTP/HTTPS, RMI-P4, and external network connection properties of the remote system.

  5. Update the properties as needed.

  6. Save your changes.

If you have made any modifications in either the My System Settings editor or the Remote System Settings editor, you are prompted to register the FPN connection. Register the systems, if needed.

    Note Note

If the FPN connection was registered at the time you changed the connection settings of its systems, the FPN connection continues to use all previous settings until you reregister.

    End of the note.
