This topic lists all new and enhanced features regarding the BPM configuration and regarding monitoring and managing business processes. It also includes information about security changes and new and enhanced process server features. Process server represents the runtime services in BPM.

The BPM configuration wizard is now run directly after installation. You can configure mail server connectivity, forms server connectivity and notification services with just one wizard.

BPM Administration using NetWeaver Administrator

BPM System Overview

New

You can monitor the availability of the BPM sub systems and adapters, start a BPM application as part of the troubleshooting action when something fails, check if the basic BPM functionalities work properly, and so on.

Process Repository

Enhanced

You can activate a different version of a component or if you do not want to use a component anymore, you can deactivate the component (all versions).

You can now configure the Web services of the processes and also configure the logical destinations to allow the process definitions to consume Web services from provider systems.

Process Management

Enhanced

You can now archive a process instance in completed or canceled status or recover a failed process instance.

Task Management

Enhanced

You can now suspend or resume a task instance. You can also resend an offline task, if required.

Business Logs

You can monitor and analyze the business events of BPM.
