The Define Styles dialog box enables you to define styles for a Plain Text control.

You display the Define Styles dialog box by clicking the browse button next to the Styles field in the Configure Plain Text task panel.

The Define Styles dialog box contains the following items:

Item

Description

Add Style

Adds another style to the list.

Delete Style

Removes the highlighted style from the list.

Move Up

Moves the highlighted style one place up in the list.

Move Down

Moves the highlighted style one place down in the list.

Style Name

Enables you to specify a name for the style.

Condition

Enables you to enter a dynamic expression that defines when to apply the style.

Cell Background

Enables you to choose the background color for the table cells that meet the condition.

This column is only available when you are defining styles for a Plain Text control that is located in a table view.

Font Style

Enables you to choose the appearance of the text in the Plain Text control when it meets the condition.

Text Color

Enables you to choose the color of the text in the Plain Text control when it meets the condition.

Define row styles

Opens the Define Row Styles dialog box so that you can define styles for the table rows.

This option is only displayed when there are no row styles currently defined.

View row styles

Opens the Define Row Styles dialog box so that you can view and modify styles for the table rows.

This option is only displayed when row styles have already been defined.
