The Configure Data Source task panel enables you to define attributes for a data source. A data source is a function call, business object, Web service, enterprise service, query or characteristic that is imported into the model. At runtime, the data source is called and returns results.

For function calls that modify the database, a second “commit” call is automatically sent to confirm the database update. This option is only available for data sources of type BAPI/RFC. |
Auto Convert |
Indicates that a conversion BAPI is required, to convert values in one unit of measurement to another. This option is only available for data sources of type BAPI/RFC. |
