The Storyboard workspace contains a set of boards on which you design and lay out your model. You change the board displayed in the workspace by clicking the board name in the toolbox (displayed by default directly below the workspace).

The different boards are available according to the component that is currently active. For example, when modeling a composite view you can use the Design and Layout boards, and when modeling a service component, you can use only the Design board.

The workspace contains the following boards, each displaying a different view of the model and providing different modeling functionality:

Board

Description

Design board

Used to construct your model and define the flow between model elements.

Layout board

Used to lay out the UI controls in the views in your model (not applicable to service components).

Note Note

Each board has its own toolbox, which provides a set of board-specific tools to assist you with the tasks you perform on that board.
