The buttons in the main toolbar provide shortcuts to many of the most-commonly used functions in the main menu.

The following table describes each toolbar button:

Button

Description

New (New)

Displays the Create New Model dialog box, in which you specify information about the model that you want to create.

Creating a Model and Development Component

Open (Open)

Displays the Manage Models task panel, in which you select the model that you want to open.

Close (Close)

Closes the currently-active model. If there are unsaved changes in the model, you are prompted to save them before closing the model.

Save (Save)

Saves the changes made to the currently-active model since the last save operation.

Save All (Save All)

Saves the changes made to all open models since the last save operation.

Undo (Undo)

Cancels the last performed operation. Click the arrow to display the list of possible operations to undo. You can select multiple operations to undo from this list.

Redo (Redo)

Performs the last undone operation. Click the arrow to display the list of possible operations to redo. You can select multiple operations to redo from this list.

Add Model to Source Control (Add Model to Source Control)

Enables you to tag a development component in the local repository for source control and check the development component and all of its models in to the shared repository or source control system.

Check Out (Check Out)

Checks out the selected model from the shared repository or source control system. This copies it to your local repository so you can work on it and prevents it from being modified by other users.

Check In (Check In)

Checks in a model previously checked out from the shared repository or source control system. After a model is checked in, it can be used and modified by others.

Revert (Revert)

Cancels all changes to a model since it was last checked out or added to the shared repository or source control system. The current model is replaced by the previous version saved in the shared repository or source control system.

Sync (Sync)

Synchronizes a local version of the selected model with the latest version checked in to the source control system or shared repository.

Refresh (Refresh)

Updates the tree in the Manage Models task panel so that it displays the most current folder and model information.
