You can query OBN to check what business objects and operations exist and what iViews have been assigned to which operations.

There are generally two ways to query OBN:

  • From Business Object to Implementations: You can specify a business object, or business object and operation, and check what implementations are valid for the current user.

You could then provide the user with a dropdown list of valid operations or implementations.

For more information, see Querying Business Objects.

  • From Implementations to Business Objects: You can specify a set of folders or roles, and find what business objects and operations have valid implementations for the current user among the specified content.

You could then provide the user with a dropdown list of valid business objects, operations or implementations.

For more information, see Querying Content with the Analyzer.
