Organizing the Transports in the
Landscape
You use the Transport Management Service (TMS) of Application Server ABAP (AS ABAP) to organize and trigger transports of the software throughout the landscape. This transport organization is the same both for Application Server Java (AS Java) and ABAP systems.
For more information about the recommended landscape configurations, see Scenarios and Recommendations on Using CTS and NWDI.
For more information about the CM Services, see Concepts.
You need to have AS ABAP installed, AS Java installed, and to have the transport routes between the systems in the landscape defined.
For more information, see Transports in Heterogeneous SAP System Landscape.
If you have an existing landscape, you can integrate its parts using the TMS.
For more information, see Integrating NWDI Transports with the Change and Transport System.
We recommend that
you use the TMS for organizing your transports. However, for existing
landscapes with Java systems, you can still use the Transport Studio of the
Change Management Service (CMS). For more information, see
Transports with the
NWDI: Transport Studio.
