Creating an XI Track 
Users of the SAP Exchange Infrastructure develop Process Integration content in an Integration Repository. To use CMS to transport this content between different Integration Repositories in a development landscape, you need an XI track.
Consultants also configure this Process Integration Content in the Integration Directory at the customer site. You can use an XI track to transport the objects configured in the Integration Directory.
You have configured a domain. System Landscape Directory (SLD) has been started.
To create an XI track, perform the following steps.
Choose New. All input fields are now empty and ready for you to enter data.
Enter the following information:
Track Parameters
Parameter Name | Meaning |
Track Template | Type of track that you are creating. Types DTR and XI currently exist. Choose template XI. |
Track ID | Technical key of the track. This track ID can have a maximum of eight characters. You can choose this track ID only when you create the track for the first time. Once you save it for the first time, it can no longer be changed. |
Track Name | User-defined name of the track used for the display in the user interface. The track name must be unique within the domain. This name can have a maximum of 20 characters. |
Track Description | Description of the track. This description can include, for example, the function of the track, such as Development of software component (SC) xy, repair track for SC yz. |
XI Repository URL DEV | HTTP address of the server on which the XI development system is installed (Input value: http://<host>:<port>/rep or http://<host>:<port>/dir) |
XI Repository URL CONS | HTTP address of the server on which the XI consolidation system is installed (Input value: http://<host>:<port>/rep or http://<host>:<port>/dir) |
XI Repository URL PROD | HTTP address of the server on which the XI production system is installed (Input value: http://<host>:<port>/rep or http://<host>:<port>/dir) |
Note
The HTTP addresses of the three XI repositories refer either to Integration Repositories or to Integration Directories.
In the Software Components for Development table, choose the Add SC... function. The Add Software Component dialog box appears. The table shows you all available software component releases´.
You can filter this list and sort the data in ascending or descending order.
In the table, select those software component releases that you want to develop in the track and choose Add. The software component is added to the table.
Repeat this procedure for all SCs that you want to develop in this track and then exit the dialog box by choosing Close.
Note
The table allows you to select more than one entry. You can also copy all software components to the Software Componentstable.
Choose Save.
You have created a new XI track.
