In this step you create and assign tasks to the model human activities to make your model work.

Prerequisites

You have the necessary user interfaces (UIs) to assign them to tasks.

Procedure

Creating Tasks
  1. In the Project Explorer view, expand your glx project.

  2. Expand Process Modeling.

  3. In the context menu of the Tasks folder, choose New Task....

    A dialog box where you create a new task appears.

  4. Enter Deliver the book in the Name field and optionally a description in the Documentation field.

  5. Choose the Finish pushbutton.

    The task appears in the Tasks folder.

  6. In the context menu of the Deliver the book task, choose Open.

    The task editor opens.

  7. On the Overview tab page, under User Interface, choose the Choose pushbutton to define the UI component you want to use for this task.

  8. In the dialog that appears, select Unified UI Import Wizard and then choose the OK pushbutton.

  9. Select the UI technology of the UI that you want to assign and then choose the Search pushbutton.

  10. In the list of UI components, select the UI component you want to assign and then choose the Next pushbutton.

  11. As Complete Event, select the event that completes the task. Choose the Finish pushbutton.

  12. Create the Replenish the book task. To do that, repeat the above steps.

Assigning Tasks
  1. In the Project Explorer view, expand your glx project and then expand Process Modeling and Processes.

  2. In the context menu of glx_test_wf process, choose Open.

  3. Choose the Book delivery human activity.

  4. In the Properties view, open the Task tab page.

  5. In the Task field, select Deliver the book task you created from the dropdown menu.

  6. Assign the Replenish the book task to the Book replenishment human activity. To do that, repeat the above steps.

Result

You have created and assigned a task to a human activity in your model.
