Viewing the Error Log File 

The error log file captures all the warnings and errors logged by plug-ins. The underlying log file is a .log file stored in the .metadata subdirectory of the workspace folder.

You can view the error log file by browsing to the .log file and view it. More functionality offers the error log view in the Developer Studio. The Error Log view is opened with the command:

Window → Show View → Other … → General → Error Log.
