In the SQL Locks user menu, you can find a display of the SQL locks and SQL lock requests.

Procedure

Open the Database Assistant (transaction DB50) or the liveCache Assistant (transaction LC10). Choose   Current Status   SQL Locks   Overview  .

The SQL locks display is part of the DBA Cockpit and can therefore also be called as follows:

  1. Open DBA Cockpit (transaction DBACOCKPIT).

  2. The display options in DBA Cockpit vary depending on which SAP NetWeaver release you are using.

    • Choose   Performance   Locks   SQL Locks: Overview  .

    • SAP NetWeaver 7.1: Choose   Performance   SQL Locks   Overview  .

Result

The system displays detailed information about the locks currently set. This display can be very long in a running SAP system. Therefore, you should always enter the analysis of SQL locks through the overview of wait situations.
