Procedure documentation Instantiating and Testing Guided Procedure Forms  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Once you have created and activated a form object, you can instantiate it. The system produces a PDF file that you can download locally, fill in and submit back to the framework.

You use the functionality of the GP design time to test your form objects.

To instantiate standalone impersonalized forms, you should use the form management tools in the Administration workset.

Prerequisites

You have created and activated your form object. For more information, see Creating Form Objects in the GP Design Time.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the gallery, select the form object that you want to instantiate, and open it.

       2.      Open the Instantiation tab page.

       3.      Choose Instantiate Form.

You can choose to open the PDF form, or to download it locally to your file system.

       4.      Optionally, you can choose Generate Instantiate URL.

This generates an URL for the latest active version of the form and you can use it later on to instantiate the form.

Instantiating Impersonalized Forms

To instantiate a standalone impersonalized form, you need to use the functionality of the Administration workset:

...

       1.      Navigate to Administration  Composite Forms  Manage Impersonalized Forms.

       2.      From the Impersonalized Forms Templates table, select a form template and choose Create Form.

       3.      You may specify the following:

       Form instance name

If no name is specified, the name of the PDF file is generated from the XDP template name.

Caution

Form instance name cannot include the following symbols: \, /, :, *, ?, |, <, >. In case of invalid name entry, a warning message is displayed.

An expiry date for the form instance

The number of form submissions in the Number of Submissions field

       4.      Choose Create.

A PDF file is generated from the XDP template. Using the link provided, you can open the file or save it to your computer and distribute it by e-mail, for example.
