SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) is a capability of SAP NetWeaver that allows you to manage the development infrastructure related parts of the software life cycle. You can easily develop applications using the NWDI tools and SAP's component model concepts. This section provides information about the new and enhanced features of NWDI.

New and Enhanced Features in SAP NetWeaver 7.2

Default activities

Enhanced

You can now use default activities. There are two settings, one for the usage and one for the default activity. You can select a default activity for multiple workspaces. When in default activity mode, you are not asked for an activity at all. The default behavior is that you are prompted for an activity.

Team Menu

You can now log on from the team menu of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to the NWDI or to the DTR.

Integration Conflicts view

Enhanced

You can now resolve multiple integration conflicts. You can choose to accept active versions or to accept colliding versions in Integration Conflicts view.

Unified Activities view

Deleted

The Unified Activities view is removed. See SAP Note 1240605.

DTR Console view

Deleted

The functionality of the DTR Console view of the Developer Studio is moved to the Infrastructure Console view. The DTR Console view is removed.

Preferences

Enhanced

A new checkbox is introduced in the Preferences of the Developer Studio. It replaces the manual startup of the administrative functionality for DTR, such as the creation of workspaces, workfolders and so on.

Usage of proxy in DTR

Enhanced

You no longer have to manually configure the use of proxy in DTR through the Developer Studio. The default settings of the Developer Studio are now automatically applied.

You can now log off from DTR

Enhanced

Log off from DTR is now possible. Add a note for the DTR console to log off first from the Developer Studio's DTR Client.
