Displaying Results

When the variant has finished executing, you will get a summary consisting of the total number of messages and the number of messages in each priority category.

The results of a JLin run are displayed in the standard Problems view. To open it, in the menu bar, choose Window Show View Problems. JLin results are categorized as errors, warnings or information, and the priority is recorded in the description.

Metrics are marked as information and do not get a priority.

The filter function in the Problems view has an entry for JLin.

Importing a Result Set

You can display results that have previously been exported to an XML file.

       1.      In the context menu in the Package Explorer, choose Import Import…

       2.      Expand the Other node and choose JLin result. Choose Next.

       3.      Enter the XML file and the corresponding project.

       4.      Choose Finish.

Displaying Test Documentation

In the Problems view, expand the Errors, Warning, or Infos node and in the context menu of a selected test, choose Display Test Description. The JLin Test Description view is opened.

Creating and Configuring Filters

In the Problems view, you can filter the results to display only the JLin results.

       1.      Choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text button.

       2.      To create a new filter, choose New.

       3.      In the Select Filter Name field, enter the name of the filter. Select the checkbox of this filter.

       4.      In the Show items of type list all test types are selected by default. Choose Deselect All.

       5.      Select the JLin Problem test type.

       6.      Choose OK.

Note

Do not forget to deselect this filter afterwards. Otherwise from now on, only the JLin results will be displayed in the Problems view.
