This topic describes the possible ways of reviewing the available extension points and extensions. This monitoring is done after the components containing the extension points and extensions are deployed on your AS Java. Then you can monitor them using the SAP NetWeaver Administrator (NWA).

Prerequisites

You need to have at least one extension point defined in the application and at least one extension for it to monitor them in the NWA.

Procedure

Reviewing the Available Extension Points and the Corresponding Extensions for Each Extension Point (Using Single Service Administration)
  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

  2. Navigate to   SOA Management   SOA Management Application and Scenario Communication   Single Service Administration  .

  3. Select the Consumer Proxies tab, then Advanced.

  4. From the Select Classification dropdown menu, select Implementation Technology.

  5. Under NetWeaver/NetWeaver^Java/NetWeaver^Java^Extensibility you can review the available extension points.

If you select one of the available extension points and then select the General tab, you can review general information such as ID, Interface Name, Application, Connectivity, Services Group, and so on. For example, in the Application field you can usually see from the name which application (technology) is the provider of the extension point, such as Web Dynpro, EJB, and so on.

Additionally, if you select the Configuration tab you can review the available extensions for the extension point you have selected. You can also review the extension statuses, the application (technology) they are defined for, and their priority. The last activated extension during the design time which was last deployed gets the highest priority and becomes active automatically.

Reviewing the Available Extensions Only (Using Single Service Administration)
  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

  2. Navigate to   SOA Management   SOA Management Application and Scenario Communication   Single Service Administration  .

  3. Select the Service Definition tab, then Browse.

  4. From the Select Classification dropdown menu, select Implementation Technology.

  5. Under NetWeaver/NetWeaver^Java/NetWeaver^Java^Extensibility you can review all the available extensions currently deployed on the AS Java.

If you select one of the available extensions and then select the General tab, you can review general information such as ID, Interface Name, Application, Connectivity, Services Group, and so on.

Reviewing the Available Extension Points and the Corresponding Extensions for Each Extension Point (Using Application Communication)
  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

  2. Navigate to   SOA Management   Application Communication  .

  3. Under the Value field you can browse to an application, and then select it.

  4. Under the Consumed Services tab you can review the available extension points for the selected application, and select one of them.

  5. After finding the desired extension point, select the Configuration tab to review the extensions and their statuses.
