Configuring the Use of SSL on the AS Java 

Use

You can use this section to configure the use of  SSL for the AS Java. If you work in a cluster environment, perform the configuration steps for each server that uses SSL.

Prerequisites

You have administration rights for performing keystore maintenance on the AS Java.

Activities

For each server that is to support SSL:

...

       1.      Install the SAP Cryptographic Library.

       2.      Maintain the ICM parameters for the SSL connection

       3.      Create the server’s key pair to use for SSL.

To also enable client authentication with X.509 client certificates, configure authentication with X.509 client certificates on the AS Java.

       4.      Test the SSL connection.

Result

The AS Java is configured for using SSL.
