Viewing and Creating Service Groups in Web Dynpro Explorer 

Use

Previously, when you imported the Adaptive Web Service (AWS) model with the Service Group option enabled, the Service Group, Service References, and Connectivity nodes appeared in the project explorer only. If you were working in the Web Dynpro (WD) perspective, you had to switch to the project explorer whenever you need to view or create Service Groups.

You can now view these nodes in the WD explorer. You can also create new Service Groups using the Connectivity node. This eliminates the effort required to navigate to the project explorer each time to view the nodes.

Prerequisites

You have installed the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS) 7.1.

Procedure

       1.      Import the AWS model with Service Group enablement. More information: Importing Adaptive Web Service Models

The system displays the Connectivity, Service Group, and Service References nodes in the WD explorer.

       2.      In the WD explorer, select the Connectivity Node, right-click and choose, New Service Group. Follow the Service Group wizard to create the Service Group.

       3.      Optional: To modify the Service Group details, double-click on the Service Group node.

       4.      Optional: To view the list of all the Service References of a Service Group, double-click on the Service Reference node.
