There are multiple tools available for you to monitor the SAP E-Sourcing application, some of which are embedded in the application itself, while others are integrated in SAP NetWeaver Administrator (NWA). The daemon monitoring function is found in SAP NWA.

Note Note

The monitoring tools for SAP E-Sourcing in SAP NWA are only relevant if your SAP E-Sourcing application is integrated with SAP NetWeaver.

Features

The daemon monitoring function allows you to:

  • Activate or deactivate all SAP E-Sourcing system-generated e-mails

  • Enable or disable individual daemon entries

    Note Note

    System daemon entries cannot be disabled and are therefore read-only.

  • Enable all daemon entries at once

  • View daemon status

Activities

Activating E-Mail Notifications for SAP E-Sourcing
  1. From SAP NWA, choose   Availability and Performance   Resource Monitoring   SAP E-Sourcing Monitoring   Daemons  

  2. Select the Send E-Mails checkbox and then choose Activate.

To deactivate e-mail notification, select the Send E-Mails checkbox and then choose Deactivate.

Enabling Daemon Entries
  1. From SAP NWA, choose   Availability and Performance   Resource Monitoring   SAP E-Sourcing Monitoring   Daemons  

  2. Select a disabled daemon entry and then choose Enable.

    Alternatively, you can enable all disabled daemon entries at once by choosing Enable All.

To disable a daemon entry, select the enabled entry and then choose Disable.
